Rhodesian
Ridgebacks CAN Herd Sheep!!! Isn't that about
as unlikely as the lion lying down with the lamb? Not really.
Ridgebackers like to vaunt our
breed's versatility, and herding ability is one intriguing facet
of our multi-purpose hounds.
Below is a group photo taken August 2nd @
EWE-Topia near Roy Washington. As Joe Kapelos, Shepherd of Ewe-topia
gave an overview of what was expected of each owner and dog, the
question
came up,
How much
does Sheep cost? Fortunately, no one had to find out. It was a
huge success as 34 Ridgebacks participated, all but two passed
their Herding Instinct Certificates. The herding will be an annual
event for the NWRRC.
